E3 Sports Facility Hosts First Kronos KC Night

Kronos BJJ is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu affiliation under the leadership of Professor Leonardo Peçanha consisting of fifty-five gyms from around the world. The Kronos team will be representing and competing at world class level competitions such as IBJJF, Pans, Worlds, and more.

E3 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu affiliate Professor Leonardo Peçanha will be teaching a class Friday, November 9, 2018, in Overland Park, Kansas at E3 Sports Facility. Join us for an early evening on the mats with a three-time World Champion and 4th-degree black belt. The class will be from 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm, followed by an hour (or so) of open mat time. All affiliations are welcome to attend for a $20 donation that will help fund our childrens’ programs. Members get in free.

Professor Leonardo Peçanha

Professor Peçanha is traveling to Kansas City from Springfield, Missouri, where he is the head BJJ instructor at 417 Infinity Martial Arts. Hailing from Rio de Janiero, Brazil, Professor Peçanha built a children’s program for underprivileged children with a belief that jiu-jitsu is life changing for kids. He committed his time, talents, and treasure to make a difference in their lives and it worked. Kids stayed off the streets and out of gangs, finishing their education.

At E3 Sports Facility, we couldn’t agree more, which is another reason why E3 feels blessed to be a part of this excellent team! Our mission is to build resilience and confidence in children and teens through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We feel like phones and computers are taking the place of activity and social media is becoming a substitute for actual socializing. It’s great hearing the laughter and seeing kids interact with each other as they learn new Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques. Everyone benefits from training with kids of all ages. The mind/body connection is supercharged as they build new friendships while they get into shape. We currently offer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu classes Mondays through Thursdays and Saturday mornings.

Want to Help?

We always welcome donations of money, time, and/or new or gently used gis. You are a big part of helping make life better for children in the Overland Park area. Thanks!
